AMK donates 40 million riels and blood to Kantha Bopha hospital

On January 31, 2023, AMK Microfinance Institution presented to the Kantha Bopha Foundation 40 million riels, which had been collected from donations by AMK’s clients and staff, to support its mission in providing quality healthcare treatment to children free of charge. In addition to the cash donation, AMK’s executive leadership and staff also provided blood donations to support the hospital’s operations.

The vision of the Kantha Bopha Foundation is to ensure the sustainability of the Kantha Bopha Hospitals in providing free and quality healthcare services to children in Cambodia without discrimination. AMK is proud to support this vision, by engaging the generosity of its clients and staff around Cambodia, and collecting donations through the AMK mobile banking app, AMK agent network and AMK staff community.

Kantha Bopha is a hospital that provides free and quality healthcare services to thousands of children every day. According to the report in November 2022, Kantha Bopha hospital treated more than 60,000 children in the outpatient department, while more than 10,000 seriously ill children were hospitalized.
